Menstrual Hygiene Day Project 2018

For this year’s International Menstrual Hygiene Day, Awareness 360 organized a project based in the Karwan Bazar Railway area of Dhaka City. We have reached out to more than 30 families training them about menstrual hygiene and its significance, thereby breaking the stigma around menstruation.

Our team remains highly grateful to “Shokhi Pad” for participating with us. This project was coordinated by our very own Liza, Afsana, Amimul, Kaiser, Mamun, Rumman, Sadia, Sakib, and Miraj. Iftar was also distributed among the families. These marginalized families lack knowledge about menstrual hygiene, and period was a shameful topic for them.

Now girls and ladies in the area are more aware that it is not a taboo. Team Awareness 360 aims to continue its mission to leave no one behind in making sure that women are not deprived of menstrual hygiene education. Take a look at the entire project below!
